Lern the difference between seats and team members, how to add or remove seats and how it effects your billing

💡 Please note: Our new standard plans starting from March 2023 include unlimited seats. This means you can add as many team members as you need without worrying about additional charges or limitations. If you are currently subscribed to one of our older plans, we encourage you to upgrade to one of our new plans to take advantage of this.

Your plan includes a set number of seats💺 for your team members. This allows them to manage projects, upload files, and share links with your reviewers. If you need additional seats for your team, you can add them as your team needs.

How many seats do I have?

To see how many seats you currently have, please go to the subscription page of your Team Settings.

How can I add or remove a seat?

  1. Open your subscribtion page and click on +Add seats

  2. Select the number of seats you want to add and confirm by clicking on Add seats

  3. Now you can fill the seats with additional team members

    • If you try to invite a team member without a free seat available, you will receive a note that you are adding another paid seat with the invitation.

Billing Changes

  • If you add a seat, you will be charged for the remaining portion of the current billing period.

  • If you remove a seat, the difference between the old and new price will be prorated as a credit.

Why can't I add additional seats?

Additional seats can only be purchased on new plans (concluded after June 9th, 2021). If you are on an older plan, please contact us at support@filestage.io.

Understand the difference between seats and team members

In Filestage, your subscription is calculated based on seats. Seats are the available positions in your team that a team member can fill.

To summarize:

  • Seats - The total number of team members you can have in a team

  • Team members - The people you have invited to join your team in Filestage. They are the ones with access to manage projects, add files, and share links. You can have less team members than seats, but you will be charged for the number of total seats.

⚠️Please note: Regardless of the number of seats in your subscription, you can still have unlimited Reviewers.

We recommend your subscription includes the exact number of seats you will need to ensure you are paying for exactly what you are using.
