The Pending Review section shows all files that are awaiting your feedback. However, sometimes there are files that are listed in the Pending Review section that don't need any commentary from you. To keep this section clean and clear, you can remove these files from the list.

There are several ways to keep the Pending Review list up to date with relevant files. You can decide which way suits your needs based on your workflow.

How to remove a file from the My Pending Review section?

Approve the version (or request changes)

You can remove a file from your Pending Review list by simply approving it or requesting changes. This is the optimal method if you want to continue to review future versions or be notified on changes to the file. Don't forget to warn those involved that you are only releasing the file so that it is no longer in your Pending Review list, to avoid confusion and/or misinterpretation of the action.

  1. Open the file in the Pending Review list which you want to remove by clicking on it
  2. Click either on "Approve Version" or "Request Changes" in the upper right corner of the file view.
  3.  Now the file is no longer in your Pending Review list

Remove yourself from the review step

By removing yourself as a reviewer from the review step, you are letting the collaborators know that you don't want to give feedback on any files in that review step. You will also not be notified about any new files, comments, or versions in that step as well.

To remove yourself as a reviewer from the review step, follow these steps:

  1. Open the file in the Pending Review list from which you want to remove yourself by clicking on it
  2. Click on your icon in the top bar above the file
  3. Then click on "Remove Reviewer" to remove yourself from the review step.
  4. Now the file is no longer in your Pending Review list

Pro-tip: You can see other files in that review step by using the navigational carousel below the file view before stating you don't want to leave feedback on any file in that step.
