# Prevent Filestage emails from going to spam

Learn how you or your clients won't miss Filestage notifications via email.

_If you are receiving too many Filestage notifications and they are being marked as spam, you can easily prevent this by whitelisting our emails. Whitelisting informs your email provider that the emails from Filestage are trustworthy and should be delivered to your inbox._

# Here are the steps to whitelist Filestage emails in Gmail and Outlook:

## Gmail:

1.  Click the **drop-down arrow** next to the Reply button
    
2.  Select **Add to Contact List**
    
3.  Click **More** above the email header
    
4.  Select **Filter messages like these**
    
5.  Click **Create filter with this search** at the bottom of the search window
    
6.  Check the box that says **Never send it to Spam**
    
7.  Look for the email in the Updates tab and drag and drop it into the Primary tab
    
8.  A message will appear asking if you want to do this for future messages from Filestage; select **Yes.**

## Outlook:

1.  Open an email from Filestage
    
2.  Right-click on the sender’s name and click **Add to Outlook Contacts**
    
3.  Click **Save**
    
4.  On the Tools menu, click **Options**
    
5.  On the Preferences tab, under E-mail, click **Junk E-mail**
    
6.  Click the Safe Senders tab
    
7.  Select the **Also trust e-mail from my Contacts** checkbox
